Is the AI interviewer a real video of a person?

No. It is an animated illustrated face, drawn as vector art in your browser. We do not use stock footage, a deepfake, or a recording of a real person. It reacts in real time to the interview — listening while you speak, thinking while it scores, and speaking with lip movement driven by the audio.

Can I choose who interviews me?

Yes. There are six interviewer looks to pick from, or you can leave it on automatic and each persona keeps its own face. You are choosing a face, not a character — the questions and the voice do not change with your pick.

Do I have to turn my camera on?

No. The interviewer works whether your camera is on or off, and whether you answer by voice or by typing. Camera on unlocks the optional body-language coaching, but nothing is required.
